Grinchy

As you can see, Mom is back to cell phone pics.  And her cell phone is not so great for pics...it's not even a smart phone.  One of these days she is going to invest in a camera, but not yet.

We had been looking for one of these shirts all December, but the store was always out of stock in my size.  Well, we went the other night and saw the shirts on clearance...and they had exactly one in my size in the whole store (and it was Mom's 2nd favorite design).  The best part was that it was on clearance.  When we got home, we noticed that one sleeve does not have the edge on it.  But, I am not letting Mom take it back.  You see, Mom has been wanting to get me those dorky-looking dog pajamas for the longest time.  Lucky me, they don't make a size that fits me.  So, we got this shirt to wear to bed on cold nights instead.  Much better than those pajamas!

Hope you all have a safe and happy new year!

Gifts from Mom

Can you believe how many presents I opened this year?  Like Mom said before...I was a super good girl this year.  She said I deserved every present.

The first package from Mom was a pack of these yummy treats.  I had a free sample last year and pretty much went nuts over them.  The bacon smell gets me pretty good.  Mom likes to break one cookie up and hide the pieces while I sit and wait patiently.  Then, she says, "Okay," and I go and find all the pieces.  I'm getting better about not getting too hyper...I am learning that if I am calm and use my nose, I can find the treats better.

This was my other gift from Mom.  You may remember that I got one of these last Christmas, only it was a beehive with three little bees.  I play with that toy all the time.  I love the challenge.

This one is a birdhouse with three little birds.  I have played with this toy everyday since I got it.  The little blue bird in front came with a broken squeaker.  The company is going to send us a replacement bird for free so we don't have to send my whole toy back...I couldn't stand letting go of this toy.

I make mom put my birds back in the birdhouse several times a day so I can take them out again.  Then, I like to roll around with the birds.  Mom says I look like an otter because I like to be on my back while I hold the toy between my paws.  She hasn't been able to catch that photo yet.

Santa Came!

I was a really good girl this year, so Santa filled my stocking.

This was gift was in my stocking.  I don't know if I had more fun opening it or playing with all my new toys.

It was a Tigger stuffed squeaky.  I was so excited about my new toy that Mom actually got an action shot of me!  Usually, I would rather just pose because I am a bit obsessed with the camera.
Santa also brought me some yummy gravy that I have been eating with my dinner.

Last, Santa also brought me this really cool monkey bed (it's supposed to be a rug for a nursery).  It is very fluffy and puffy and more like a bed than a rug.  Just perfect for me.

OMD, I am such a lucky girl!  But, all those presents really wore me out.  I had to take a nap after all that excitement.

Christmas Gift Exchange

When I woke up Christmas morning, I found all this just for me!  Mom says that I was a super good girl this year.

Bella, from The Royal Coonhounds, sent me some wonderful gifts.  I unwrapped them all with only a little help from Mom.

My first present was a bag of super yummy sirloin burger treats.  Mom let me try them right away and I think you can tell from the photo that I loved them.  And, they are the perfect size for me.

My next package was this bag of bedtime biscuits. Bella sure can pick good treats because I love having a cookie before bedtime.

Can you believe I also got this super cool Rudolph toy?!  I like how he is so floppy so I can shake him around.  I have already started chewing on his nose and antlers.  I ended up snuggling him for my after present naptime.

Thank you so much Bella for all of these amazing presents.  I absolutely love them all.  Mom really likes the beautiful card too.

I am one happy pup with all my presents.  We also want to thank Jazzi's mom for organizing this super fun gift exchange.  I can't wait to show you all the other good stuff I got.

Wonderful Friends

Mom has been under the weather for awhile, but what a wonderful surprise we had to cheer us up this morning.  There was a package at our front door for me!

Mom let me open it early today because I have been such a good girl.  This was my first official unwrapping this year.

It is a bone-shaped cookie cutter!  Now, I have to get Mom to bake me some yummy peanut butter cookies.  Luckily, there is even a recipe included with this.  Thanks so much Bella!

Then, this afternoon, our other friends surprised me with this cute gingerbread toy.  Can you see how happy I am to have a new toy?

Good thing Mom got that last picture of me, because I snatched it up and ran off to have some fun.  Thank you Tika, Michelle, and Evan.

Also, I wanted to give a shout-out and thanks to my friend Julie.  You may have noticed Kelsey's lack of posts lately...well, the computer crashed.  Julie was kind enough to take it in to get fixed for me.  Everything on the computer was lost and they had to replace the hard drive.  Luckily I can get all of Kelsey's pictures back from her blog.  We are so excited for Christmas tomorrow, Kelsey opening presents, and visiting with my cousin.  We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

It's Raining, It's Pouring

I am so happy...it has been raining on and off all night and today too.  We have had some pretty good downpours that I have been absolutely loving.  Kelsey was able to wear her new coat.  We will share better pictures of it later.

Kelsey, on the other hand, does not care so much for the rain.  Notice how she keeps one ear to the side, just in case that rain decides to come inside.

The rain got louder, and it started to hail too.  It wasn't cold enough for the hail to stick, but the mountains right above us have been getting snow.

It's coming to get me, isn't it Mom?

 There goes that tongue again!

On another note, we finished our Christmas cards and put them in the mail today.  We can't wait for you to see Kelsey's cutie pie card.  If you were not in the card exchange, but would still like a card...contact me and we can get one sent to you.

Snoozing

Somebody got caught snoozing with the remote.
This was the bed Grandma bought for Kelsey when I had first adopted her.  Can you tell she has outgrown it?  We have other beds, but they were still wet from being washed.

I got caught disturbing her beauty sleep.

I guess I didn't bother her too much.  I caught her sleeping with her tongue out just 5 minutes later.

Suspense

This is my package from Bella at The Royal Coonhounds.  We had not taken it out of the box because Mom did not have the good camera and she insisted on documenting my first gift exchange.

I have been sniffing this box for days, but I managed to keep my nibbling under control.  I just knew it was for me.

Yeah!  I can finally get my nose in this box.

There are 3 presents in here...and a card too!
I tried ripping into them, but Mom said that I have to wait a little longer.  I am interested in all of them, but the big one is pretty fascinating to me.
Oh, and I have been getting lots of cards in the mail (and a few emails too).  I like to sniff each card as Mom opens them and reads them to me.  I wonder when she well let me rip into my presents...

No More Coats

No coats needed this afternoon.  Everything is still pretty wet though.

Kelsey has taken advantage of the weather and gone exploring in the yard.  Too bad all her little critter friends are still in hiding.

I L♥VE her sweet yet curious look in this one.

Rockin' My Bow

So today was more of the same weather.  Lots of rain and lots of gray.  I'm loving it, but Kelsey is not a fan.  We had some light (not sun) for a few minutes, so we ran outside to try and get some pictures done.  It only lasted a few minutes and it was super cold with a stormy wind.  Several minutes after we came in the full on rain came back and it got even colder.

But, Kelsey decided that she was ready to model her bow and totally rocked her photo session.  What a pro!  Her Christmas outfit photo session didn't go as well...the wind was blowing her dress around too much.

Look...I even managed to get my toes and my belly wet in the soaking wet grass!

Beautiful Wintery Bow

Mom, do we have to do pictures now?  It has been raining for days and the grass is soooo wet and icky.

Our wonderful neighbor, Julie, made this adorable wintery bow for Kelsey.  It hooks right onto her collar (note-she only wears it supervised because I wanted the button on it).

The color and size are perfect for Kelsey.
It has also been a fun way to dress her up on those days when it is too hot for a cute outfit.

Are we done now?

It has been so rainy and gray, so our photos have been limited.  We jumped outside for a few quick pics when there was a break in the rain.  Kelsey absolutely does not like wet grass, so getting her to sit for a picture was not going to happen.  She was such a good sport though.

Busy Girl

I know the lighting in these pics is not great...it has been raining and it is super gray today.

Yesterday, we went to the pet store and picked out our gift for the Christmas exchange.  Then, we visited with the neighbors.  I was so so proud of Kelsey-she climbed into the neighbor's lap all on her own and she even kissed the toddler.  I am so happy that she is learning to trust others.

Then, Grandma came today to loan us the camera. We tried doing some Christmas pictures, but there was just not enough light.  We will have to try again another day.

Look what I got for being so good!
We had to go to the other pet store today.  While we were there, we noticed that the grooming department only had one dog and the nice groomer was there.  So, we stopped in and got Kelsey's nails done.  She had a stressful experience with a guy that was working there last time and several large and growly dogs came in while we were there...so, we are really careful to only go when it's empty and when there is a good groomer.  Kelsey did so well, so she got two new toys.

And shhhh, don't tell Kelsey-I did some Christmas shopping when she wasn't looking.  I found some toys and a box of cookies too.  After the pet store, we drove through Taco Bell for an early dinner treat.  The girls that work there always get a kick out of seeing her.  And now, Kelsey is passed out in her bed, all snuggled up with her blankie.
