Family Reunion 2015

This is how she rolls.

I absolutely love her new dress (Mommy's Little Angel). 

She sure lives up to it.

When we got to Lompoc, we got to eat at my favorite restaurant, El Toro Bronco.  I love cheese enchiladas.  

Looks like Kelsey wanted some chips and salsa too.

We spent the night at a hotel.

Kelsey is great at traveling.

In the morning, we had a major problem.  Kelsey was in pretty bad pain.  It seemed to start by her ear but then spread.  She could not handle even the lightest touch on her head...she would whimper, yelp, and flinch.  Luckily, we found a vet that was just down the street and happened to be open Saturday mornings.  He gave her a shot and meds to take for the following three days.  She had an episode like this before, so we think it is either a pinched nerve or something wrong with a disk.  Luckily, by the time we got to the family reunion, the shot had kicked in and Kelsey was as good as new.  This is the park in Solvang where we had the reunion.

Kelsey was much more relaxed this year.  

She got tons of attention from all the kids and even got to meet 2 dog relatives while we were there.  We also tried out her new cooling mat and it did seem to help.

We went home the next day.

Grandma stopped at an antique shop while Kelsey and I stayed in the car and got caught up on Facebook.  She would not take her eyes off the door because she was watching for her Grandma to come back.

Next on the agenda was a trip to Solvang.

It's a family tradition to sit in the big shoe.  

Kelsey got to meet the horses that do the Solvang tours.  

They were both so sweet, but man it was getting warm and humid.

This is the closest Kelsey will ever get to "catching a wave."

We got rained on during the ride home.  Kelsey is already passed out on the couch.  We had a great time and can't wait to go and visit our family again next year.
