Halloween: Pumpkin Patch

 Kelsey went to the pumpkin patch today.  And, for the first time in her life, she was not scared of the pumpkins! I'm a proud mama.

 I love her sweet face in this one.  She was taking in all the sights and smells from the light breeze.

She wasn't scared of the scarecrows either.

Halloween: Shades

Halloween: Nothing But Skin and Bones...and Spiders Too!

Kelsey refused to sit her dainty little rear end in the wet grass.  I don't blame her because I wouldn't want to either.

Halloween: Skeleton

 Kelsey finally has a set of real pajamas that actually fit her...I'm so excited about that.

Halloween: Jessie

In case you don't recognize the outfit, she's Jessie, from the Toy Story movies.  Easiest costume ever and she looks so good in it.

Halloween: She's Glowing

 This may look like an ordinary shirt for Kelsey, but it actually has parts that glow in the dark.

It's so funny to watch her run down the hallway in the dark.

Halloween: Trick For Treat

 We are getting excited as Halloween is getting closer.

This is our favorite Halloween dress.  It says Trick for Treat.

We are so lucky because our store did not have it in Kelsey's size, so Aunt Nancy went right out to her store and was able to get Kelsey the dress.  Thank you, Aunt Nancy!

Today, Kelsey went to Target with me.  She was so shaky in the car when we got there.  But, when we got in the store, she immediately calmed down.  She has really begun to understand her role as a service dog these last few weeks and how to be calm and do her job (even when she is feeling nervous).

Halloween: Petco Contest

Today, we helped Grandma at the Scrapbook Expo.  Afterwards, we went to the Petco Halloween costume contest.  There were a lot of dogs there and Kelsey was a bit shaky, so I was unsure of how she would do.  When our turn came, she walked up and back down that aisle like a pro (no shakes or nervousness or anything).  She even did a sit and then waved to the judges.  There was only one other dog who was able to perform tricks for the judges.  Kelsey was definitely the cutest one there in her fairy princess costume.

This cute little monkey won 3rd place!!! I'm so proud of her.  The 1st and 2nd place costumes were handmade and Kelsey's Mommy does not have the talent for that, lol.  It was a great experience.

Halloween: Candy Corn

 It is one of her Mommy's favorite Halloween treats (other than Cadbury Screme Eggs).

Kelsey's favorite Halloween treats are Mommy's homemade peanut butter pumpkin cookies and pumpkin cookies.

Kelsey's New Trick

Many people seem surprised when I tell them that Kelsey really enjoys dressing up. Well, last night Kelsey was doing circles, trying to get the blankets just right for bed. I noticed an odd shape every time she turned. I turned on the light and saw this! Kelsey had managed to get her clothes on all by herself BOL!!! That's my monkey. 

Halloween: Tigger

Kelsey loves Tigger.  She even has a Tigger toy that is one of her favorites.  We usually get to use this outfit as pajamas, but it's been way too hot for that.

Halloween: Mommy's Little Pumpkin

 Kelsey and I have been getting ready for Halloween...decorating, treat bags for the kids, and new outfits for Kelsey, of course.

This dress is perfect for my little monkey because she is Mommy's Little Pumpkin.  When I adopted her and had not yet picked the perfect name for my princess, I often called her pumpkin!

Bailey, if you are reading this, we responded to your comment and not sure if you saw it or not...but, we are definitely interested.  Sounds like fun!

Police Lives Matter

Yesterday, Kelsey and I wore blue for #PoliceLivesMatter in support of our fallen officers.  The day before, we made a trip to our local police department to deliver lots of yummy treats to brighten their day and show them that they have our support.

Kelsey is modeling her new dress.  It says, "Mommy's Little Angel."  She certainly lives up to that.

OMG I got her to lay down in the grass.  She usually hates that.  Kelsey must have really wanted those cookies.

We did some errands but it got sooo hot that we decided to wait until later to finish them.  It's supposed to be in the triple digits here today.  Hope you all are staying cool.

Back to Physical Therapy

We haven't been here in months. We get into the room and Kelsey acts like she's there all the time. She stole my pillow right away. When I needed the pillow, her little head was tucked into my neck. What a sweetie pie!
